I can't help be amazed at the gifts God has delighted me with - a wonderful husband, four amazing children, and the opportunity to write for Him.
I've been writing as long as I can remember - I won my first book writing contest in first grade! Over the years, writing has become, for me, a way to praise God and see Him at work in my life.
Although I have a degree in Mass Communications from the University of MN, my real writing experience started when I penned the The Warren Report - a bi-monthly newsletter that detailed our ministry highlights.
Living in Russia meant I never lacked for great material - and those experiences naturally spilled out first into devotionals and magazine articles and finally into my first published story, "Measure of a Man," in the Tyndale/HeartQuest, Chance Encounters of the Heart anthology.
Susan and husbandI grew up in Wayzata, a suburb of Minneapolis, and became an avid camper from an early age. My favorite fir-lined spot is the north shore of Minnesota - it's where I met my husband, honeymooned and dreamed of living. The north woods easily became the foundation for my first series, The Deep Haven series.based on a little tourist town along the shores of Lake Superior. I have to admit - I'm terribly jealous of Mona, the heroine of my first full-length book, Happily Ever After, a Christy Award Finalist published in 2004 with Tyndale/Heartquest.
Our family moved home from the mission field in June 2004 -- and now we live in the beautiful town I'd always dreamed of! God has amazed me anew with His provision, and blessings -- and allowed me a season when I can write full time for Him.
I 'm delighted you've stopped in to visit. My hope is that you'll be blessed and encouraged by soul-stirring stories of regular people interacting with a God who loves them.
I'd love to hear from you! I love getting mail, especially from readers and I welcome your questions and comments. Write to me at susan@susanmaywarren.com. “So whether you like it or not, I’m your shadow, or your watchdog, or your partner—whatever. I may not be some James Bond, but just try to shake me.”
I loved that line, and truly Shep was not a James Bond character. Super refreshing since London rescued him multiple times in One Last Stand. The gender reversals made me smile and appreciate such a strong heroine. But still, Shep wasn’t someone people could walk over with his amazing outdoorsman skills.
Such vivid snow skiing scenes and with what happened to Jacey, I don’t think I could ever get on a pair of skis but enjoyed learning about the life.
Oh!!! I usually start with a quote in my reviews, which I did. But good Lord, I had to add this beautiful a line… He was the mountain, pulling her into his protection as he put his arms around her.
Very exciting read. I sucked in air when the man punched Caspian. Who punches a dog? I really enjoyed the adventure the author took me on in this story and can’t wait for the next in the series. There has to be another because Tillie deserves a much better engagement party lol. Alright I feel like this review came out like I’m rambling, but there were so many great parts and no spoilers here. This is a must read for lovers of action, suspense and inspirational romance.
It has York, Fraser, and Moose in it, so what's not to love? Shep and London's story was as full of twists and nonstop action as you might imagine! I loved seeing favorite characters and the great faith messages I've come to expect from Susie's books. You'll want to start at the beginning of the series, if possible - the context helps you care about each of these people more. Enjoyment level was high in this one and was glad to see Moose get some justice finally!
One Last Stand is the fourth book in the Alaska Air One Rescue series. This is definitely a series that is best read in order from the beginning as Susan May Warren has a knack for creating intricate stories with a large cast of characters that you'll want to get to know better as the series progresses to get the most out of the story. That said, I had not realized I'd not yet caught up on this one yet myself, and while there were definitely moments where I felt I was missing something, I was still able to enjoy this one anyway!
Another thing that Susan May Warren has a knack for? Creating high paced stories that will absolutely keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next! This was certainly no exception! It kept me captivated from the first page to the last... with so much action and adventure that I couldn't get enough of. I loved the romance, yes, but I also love all the strong relationships in the book as well... and of course, as a fan of the author, seeing more familiar characters make appearances too. If you're looking for a wonderful Christian romantic suspense read, this is one you'll definitely want to experience for yourself.
** Complimentary copy received for consideration via Netgalley. All opinions are my own.
What a pulse pounding adventure! I was amazed at the things we learned not only about London, but also about Shep’s upbringing. The author always does an amazing job of weaving characters and side plots from other novels into her current stories and this one was no exception. You could probably jump in and enjoy this book even if you haven’t read any other stories, however, it was really fun to see some favorite characters appear in One Last Stand as various plot threads overlapped.
London really struggled with her identity in this story. She battled decisions about who she really was and what she really wanted in life. Throw in the fact that she loved Shep and he loved her and it added a whole new level of confusion for her. And Shep had his own confused heart to deal with. He knew he loved London, but there were parts of her identity and life that were revealed to him as the story progressed and it was, frankly, overwhelming to him. I appreciated the huge emotional growth journey that Shep and London took in this book and also loved the way the whole team and their significant others were a part of the tale. There was also a great faith thread throughout that was woven very naturally into the storyline.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
“God sometimes gives the hardest tasks to the ones he can count on the most. And if it was easy and didn’t require all of us, then we wouldn’t need God to complete it.”
Ah, the long-awaited and highly anticipated story of London and Shep. The wait was worth it and the story did not disappoint. London’s mysterious past was fascinating to learn about and the depth of international intrigue surrounding her family was unexpected. I had sort of forgotten Shep’s familial ties to Gage Watson from Montana Rescue series so that was a fun nugget to behold. Their European journey brimmed with action and plenty of twists and turns in their quest to save the world from Russian mob and rogue ex-CIA. I absolutely loved the cameo appearances of the Montana and Minnesota Marshalls, along with their affiliates and colleagues. Their romance was a wonderful adventure and their faith journey an even bigger one. Moose and Tillie also had a crazy adventure in this book that had me on the edge of my seat.
I can’t believe the series is over already! But I do believe there is more coming our way with Minnesota Kingstons. Can’t wait to dig into the new series!
I received a complimentary copy courtesy of Revell via NetGalley and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are my own.
This was a nonstop adventurous ride with a lot of twists and turns, suspense, and danger. Readers will learn about Shep's backstory and London's backstory. London has many identities, which she struggles with, all of which are part of her and what she wants to do. I enjoyed seeing some familiar characters such as York and Fraser showing up in the story and the faith threads woven into the story. This was a great finale to this series.
One Last Stand by Susan May Warren features an ice world with tons of snow and a castle. Secret tunnels, secret society groups, and the romance between the two main characters. Speaking of the romance, the sparks between Shep and London really fly off the page. Warren makes them an indecisive pair. Should they love each other? Should they trust their gut and go their separate ways in order to save the other person's life? Warren does not make their romance a straight and easy choice. As for the plot, Warren does a wonderful job at detailing the heroic acts and the escape plans. The detail was extraordinary. I loved this story since the story took place in snow. Something this girl rarely ever sees. I love the ball set at a castle. I love the high flying action. As a word of warning, Warren does tie up a loose thread that has been around since the beginning of the series. Overall, One Last Stand by Susan May Warren is my second favorite book in this series. I am glad that I have already purchased a physical copy of the whole series.
I received a complimentary copy of One Last Stand by Susan May Warren, but the opinions stated are all my own.
Just because this is the conclusion of the series, don't think Susan May Warren tones down the suspense and action. The characters face one obstacle after another with hardly a moment to catch your breath. Shep is the kind of guy you want to have your back and London is a tough gal you’d like to take with you everywhere because no one could harm you with her around. If you’ve read the previous books in the series, you’ll enjoy how the other friends rally around Shep and London. You’ll also get to see a few favorites from past series, which makes me happy. The people in this series are a team and the problem of one is the problem of all of them. They’re the kind of people you’d want to call friends. This is one of my favorite series Warren has written and saying goodbye is hard.
This is the last book in the Alaska Air One series, and boy, have we been taken on a ride! There is so much packed into this one book, and if you’re like me, you have to stop to catch your breath to continue reading. Susan May Warren is a master storyteller, and the way she weaves in her stories many past characters and events is nothing short of amazing! This one book had me looking back at other books and refreshing my head around the timelines and characters. How does she keep it all straight? Even though this story was mainly set in another country and not Alaska, we still got to experience its wonders and beauty. I also had fun looking up different castles and mountain ranges in Europe and imagining all the secret tunnels and places in a castle. This story truly took us on an adventure and taught me things I didn’t know about, like cryptocurrency. I’m so glad I’m not one of her characters because of everything she puts them through. WOW! The action is non-stop and jaw-dropping. The action will leave you feeling you’re right there with each step. This is why I love all of Susan May Warren’s books and will run to purchase them and read them whenever they come out! All of her books have wonderful life lessons of the love of God, woven in such a way that they are real and not fake or pushed. True to all of Susie's books, this one is so amazing, and the imagery is out of this world! It kept me reading late into the night! You should genuinely pick it up! WOW WHAT A RIDE!! The author gave me this book, but this did not influence my review in any way; all thoughts and opinions are my own.
WOOOOOOOOOW! Not what I was expecting for the finale BUT what a FINALE!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I have been anticipating Shep and Londons story and Susan just sprinkled a little... OKAY A LOT... of everything! Romance, suspense, adventure, action and a HEA!!! Jeeze what more could a girl want!!!
It was so good and I was once again sucked in and couldn't put it down!
London and Shep have been lingering in the background of the first three books in this series begging for their own story. Book three left me mouth agape and desperate for more pages. Let’s just say the wait between book three and this one, One Last Stand was excruciating.
I really enjoyed London and Shep, the intricacies surrounding London’s past, her family’s involvement and the solid faith message in this one. I loved revisiting some of my favorites from the Susiverse—I see you York and Fraser—and the continuation of a few key characters (good, bad and mysterious) from series past.
Side bar - Axel is just amazing. Every time he walked onto the page I found myself grinning ear to ear. He’s just…great. So many highlighted quotes and Axelisms!
One Last Stand was great. I can’t wait to see where Susan takes us next!
"London, I’m still on a mission. I’ll find you,” Shep considers in Susan May Warren’s novel, One Last Stand.
~ What ~ The fourth book in the Alaska Air One Rescue series, this three-hundred-and-thirty-page paperback targets those who like a Christian contemporary romance about being on a rescue team while learning about honesty and truth. Focusing on suspense, topics of espionage, fighting, injuries, and death may not be appropriate for immature readers. The ending includes a note to the reader, the author’s biography, and advertisements.
In this final book in the series, rescue team member Shep knows he is in love with London, but there is a part of her past that she has always kept hidden. When the worst possible thing happens to the girl of his dreams, he is broken and unable to move on. But the past comes back to haunt both of them as they are forced to go to Montelena, a rich country in Europe, to face their demons while staying one step ahead of Russian terrorists.
~ Why ~ This is more of an international spy novel than a romance as it involves team members who are loyal to each other when trying to avert a worldwide crisis. I enjoyed the rawness and emotionalism both Shep and London shared and how they overcame their fears and insecurities when they learned the truth. The castle and mountain sceneries were written descriptively, while there was a James Bondish cat-and-mouse feel to the tale.
~ Why Not Some may not like a story that includes Bible verses, but they are limited as Shep tries to process his actions. Like the previous book in the series, there are too many characters, including those from other stories. I found some parts unrealistic and confusing regarding timing and storytelling, especially the ending.
~ Wish ~ Although there are prayers to God and quoted Bible verses, the author, once again, missed the perfect opportunity to give the eternal plan of salvation instead of quoting verses. I prefer all pronouns of the Almighty capitalized for reverence. A list of characters would be helpful, especially since a few are from other series.
~ Want ~ If you are into contemporary Christian suspense romance series involving rescue teams, this final book may or may not be its last stand that could still be the mission.
Thanks to Revell and Interviews & Reviews for this complimentary book. I am under no obligation to give a positive review.
If you are looking for high intensity suspense and action, a swoony love story, and a team that acts more like a family that has your back no matter what, then this is a read for you. In fact, pick up this whole series.
I hate to even admit this, but I only read the first book in this series. It was good too, but I need to read the other two as well. This story is fine as a standalone, I was filled in on a lot of what took place. However, just for the whole picture and experience, I need to go back. What I liked about this series is that it did touch on other characters I have met through author Warren's other works. Just a name drop here and there, like saying hi to old friends.
Entering this book, I knew that Shep Watson was in a low place. His love, London Brooks is supposedly dead. He was the one who pulled her out of the submerged car. He has his doubts though, especially since he knows her background. But he can't just make her appear.
Well, we get more of London/Laney's background story in this read, as everything she loves and lives for is on the line. Her life is complicated. Her relationship with Shep is complicated. And their past, well new details emerge about that. Will it affect their future if they survive? Well, that is the question.
I enjoyed the camaraderie of the team and how they cared and loved one another like family. They were not new to danger so helping London and Shep was a no brainer. There were a few other side stories that also got tied up as well. This was a fun read that kept me up way too late.
I was provided a copy of this novel from Revell Publishing through Interviews & Reviews. I was not required to post a positive review, and all views and opinions are my own.
Susan May Warren delivers a gripping conclusion to her thrilling Alaskan Rescue series with One Last Stand. The story centers around London Brooks, a pilot for the Air One Rescue team, as she’s forced to confront a past she tried to bury—a past filled with clandestine missions and high-stakes dangers. Warren masterfully weaves a tale of suspense and romance, set against the rugged beauty of the Alaskan wilderness.
Warren's characters are once again brilliantly crafted. London and Shep feel like people you might actually know, with real-world struggles and complex emotions. Shep’s journey is especially compelling as he grapples with the challenges of supporting London through her turmoil. His inner conflict, torn between his love for her and the reality of her dangerous past, adds a depth to their relationship that feels authentic and poignant. He has to decide whether he’s willing to risk his heart and life to stand by London—proving that sometimes, love means making tough choices and putting the other person's needs above your own desires.
The action in One Last Stand is intense and suspenseful, keeping readers on edge as London faces threats from enemies old and new. Warren’s vivid descriptions of Alaska's vast, wild landscapes make the setting a character in itself, and her writing effortlessly brings to life the adrenaline-filled rescue missions.
Fans of the series will find this final installment a satisfying and emotional end. It’s a story about courage, love, and the resilience required to face one's past and protect the future. For anyone who enjoys a blend of romance and suspense, One Last Stand is a must-read.
One Last Stand is a book of epic proportions! This novel truly has it all: spies, royalty, terrorists, betrayal, and much, much more – and those elements come at you hard and fast, putting you through a wringer of emotions.
As a reader, I’m okay with that. The extreme measures of the plot make for an exciting story, and I’ll take all that excitement. I love the way that Warren follows action scenes with thoughtful growth mixed with romance and blends the whole thing with a spiritual journey. I found myself nodding along as Shep grew to new plateaus and cheering for London when she faced hard truths.
Susan May Warren’s character universe has gotten quite large, and loyal readers are going to love One Last Stand. She’s hidden Easter eggs throughout the story, and finding them is such fun! I enjoy catching up with favorite characters from previous novels, and these secret treasures made this book even better.
Which is hard to do, because One Last Stand is the kind of story that stays tucked away inside you long after you turn the last page. Hidden behind the explosions and terror plots are quiet revelations of truths – the kind that whisper to your soul and make you feel stronger, just like Shep and London, for having joined them on their journey. So don’t delay – get your hands on a copy of One Last Stand and prepare for the ride of a reader’s lifetime.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
A fantastic ending to a wonderful series by one of the very best in Christian Fiction.
London Brooks has been part of Air One Rescue as a way to rebuild the life she has left behind that was full of clandestine meetings as part of a team to take down a Russian terrorist. When her old life comes back to haunt her, she must disappear to hopefully keep all of those she cares about safe. When Shep Watson is taken hostage as a ploy to bring London out in the open, she has no choice but to jump back into the world she thought she had left behind.
The Alaska Air One Rescue series has been a fantastic series with lots of action, romance and more. Susan May Warren is a fantastic author that is full of so many great stories. This one was really good except for a few parts in the middle that fell flat. When London goes home to her parents, I just lost connection with her and the story for a good little bit. The other parts of the story were full of action and adventure that kept me glued to the page. This is the type of story that fans of romantic suspense will not want to pass up. You would read this one without having to have read the others in the series but it is best to read the whole series to get the most out of it.
I received a complimentary copy of this title from the publisher. The views and opinions expressed within are my own.
4.5 stars "Do whatever you have to do to say goodbye, and I expect you on the next plane to. . . . "
"But really, how did one say goodbye to the one person . . . . " whom London Brooks had loved for a long, long time without ever letting him know and now . . . Shep Watson was utterly devastated by her "death", but what other option did she have in order to keep him safe . . . . besides, even if she changed her mind, there was this not-so-little problem of how she would ever explain herself. No, it would really be better to have her heart say good-bye right now, as she drove by his house one last time, except for the fact, . . . .
Except you know by now that is not how this story ended. Rather, it's how it all began.
If you love adrenaline laced adventure combating international crypto terrorists while Shep determines to protect the woman he loves, although he's not sure who she is anymore, and she's not sure either, . . . like me, you will not be able to put this story down until you are sure that the impossible will be made possible after all.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart" . . . . "because the one calling, the one path that felt right despite the route, had always been London".
One Last Stand is the final offering in an epic series and didn’t disappoint. I read the first in the series and fell behind so can say, hand on heart – this story also works as a standalone!
Shep hasn’t been even close to himself since London died. Imagine his shock when he’s kidnapped and discovers she’s not quite as dead as he believed? Or that she’s more than capable of rescuing him.
From here (and this is in NO WAY a spoiler) things turn even crazier as Shep and London, with the Air One Team, race across Europe to try and stop an international terrorist network. Interestingly though, their personal differences seem much harder to overcome than the Russian mob.
Shep sees his purpose to rescue people and keep London alive, but London isn’t sure she can hang up her spy persona and settle down. And of course, there’s no sensible, quiet time to sit and have a grown up discussion about this. Nope. They have to figure it out through introspection, brief talks with friends and snatched moments when either or both aren’t in someone’s crosshairs.
While the action is fantastic and the characters larger than life, as ever with a Susan May Warren book, the best part is the spiritual aspect. I love the way truth is shared and lives changed. Just brilliant.
I received a copy of One Last Stand from the publisher via NetGalley, the opinions are all my own.
Whew! My head is spinning! What a ride! Susan May Warren’s final book in the Alaska Air One Rescue series has it all! ONE LAST STAND is a fast-paced thriller with hunky heroes and courageous heroines.
THE STORY: Air One Rescue pilot, London Brooks’ past has caught up to her. Not only is someone out to assassinate her, but she is wrongly accused of espionage. A world she thought she had left behind now drags her back into a dark realm of spies and terrorists. Shep Watson already saved London’s life once, but when she disappears and is thought dead, he wonders if he has the power to bring her back home—if she even wants to return to an “ordinary” life.
How does Warren do it? With such authenticity, she takes the reader to international locales with dangerous feats of heroism. From scaling rocks and walls and retrieving stolen mob money to impossible rescues, I felt the biting cold and heart throbbing scenes that kept me turning the pages to the satisfying end.
Highly recommended for readers of romantic suspense, international thrillers, mystery, espionage, and faith journeys.
I received an ARC from the publisher for my honest review.
"One Last Stand" is a Christian romantic suspense. It's the 4th in the series. It does help to have read at least some of the previous books as some of the London/Shep action has occurred already and the characters from the previous books are highly involved in this story. However, the author provided enough background that you can understand what's going on without reading the previous books.
The main characters were engaging and came across as real people. I cared about what happened to them. Shep and London realized that they only had a superficial knowledge about each other and got to know each other better as they worked together. They had to decide what they really wanted out of life while they tried to free London from the dangers brought on by her past. There was plenty of suspense from the physical dangers of doing spy stuff as well as the search and rescue. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this enjoyable suspense.
I received an ebook review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.
Was it irony that I read the majority of this book wearing leggings and oversized shirts or coincidence? Iykyk 😂
Another adventure filled book from Susan May Warren! After the ending of the previous book in this Alaska Air One Rescue series, I was interested to find out where Shep and London's story would continue, and it was a journey for sure. Shep and London had to work through a lot of trust issues together, but I really did enjoy seeing how they grew and changed throughout the book. "One Last Stand" is fast paced, and the plot intriguing. Once again, I did notice a fair bit of repetitive writing - a lot of similar situations/reactions, and repetitive sayings and expressions that I've noticed in the last few SMW books. But I still enjoyed the story, and it kept my attention. I also did very much appreciate the faith strand. It was a good inclusion to the plot, and I am always encouraged to see faith more prominently shown in fiction than just a passing use of "the character prayed" etc. I also liked the setting - a lot of the story took place in another country which was fun and added character to the story. If you're interested in Christian Romantic Suspense fiction, I recommend checking out this series.

This is one of the best romantic suspense books I’ve read this year. There’s more than enough action for every adrenaline junkie out there with some heartfelt romance added in to round out the story.
Not only do I get to see Shep and London navigate her supposed death and return, as well as learn her unique background, I also get to see more of Moose and Tillie’s story.
Shep is a rescuer at heart and when London travels to a small European country, he follows right into the midst of danger and intrigue. Nothing and no one is quite what it seems and when London is kidnapped he’s all in.
Each of them must find their place of trust and reliance on God in the face of pain and doubts about themselves. There’s plenty of personal conflict and tension to roil the emotions and kept me reading long into the night.
This is a wonderful book.
I was given a copy courtesy of Revell through NetGalley and Interviews and Reviews. This is my honest opinion of the book.
One Last Stand was a positively riveting finale to an absolutely action-packed series. The message of love, forgiveness, and redemption was powerful and perfect. And the romance, teamwork, and chosen family themes were top-notch! Susan May Warren is the queen of romantic thrillers, the tales she weaves, the worlds she builds, are like none other!
Shep and London had me on the edge of my seat, and bonus: the visits from beloved characters in her other series: Pippa and Fraser, Imani and Creed, and (sigh) York! The update on each of them felt like catching up with old friends. Thank you, Susie May, for the webs you spin. I am here for it!
5 exciting stars for this gripping page-turner! Don’t waste another minute but catch a ride on Air One today, you’ll enjoy your time up in Alaska, I assure you!
Let's just make this simple, shall we? I loved this book. I loved this series and am sad to see it end. There, does that cover it? No, okay, One Last Stand finally gives us Shep and London's story. I have been curious about the mystery that is London. And wowza, the story line that is weaved around London and Shep is a crazy and wild ride! And it brought back so many old friends! I won't say which characters from other series appeared but it was a lot. And it was so fun seeing them in this story. Not to mention that Moose and Tillie's story gets more of an ending as well. This book is a wild ride of adventure and growth. London and Shep both have a past that is twisted together more than they even realize. But is their past a reason to stay together? Both have to figure out exactly who they are, what they want. As an individual before they can become a couple. Should they be a couple?
Serial Burn is an excellent read and well written. The lastest in the Lake City Heroes series kept me reading, as I was unwilling to put it down. The characters are complex characters who have real issues over the course of the book. I loved that the author didn't just insta-fix them but took time to do so.
This book can be read as a standalone but I suggest if you haven't read all the books in the series, that you go back and read them. Apart from more good books to read, knowing the side characters and their stories is like visiting old friends.
I receive complimentary books for various sources including, Netgalley, Authors, and other such sources. I am not required to write a positive review and have not received compensation.
One Last Stand by Susan May Warren is an exciting romantic suspense read! Danger, mystery, and romance all in one brilliant package. It was like reading a James Bond book or The Blonde Identity by Ally Carter. The book begins and continues to hold onto the action-packed, heart-pounding scenes, with grief attached. Staying alive and bond to the love that will never die, the heroine cannot stay away from her lover. Thus, placing both of them into the greatest danger of their lives. From snow skiing to escaping deadly foes, this book is a must read for all!
I received this copy from the publisher. This is my voluntary review.
Susan May Warren you owe me a new set of nails! Yes it is all your fault that I chew my nails to the bone! Adventure, espionage, exotic locations, revenge, terrorists, suspense, danger, drama, family, romance, faith-nuggets. Uhm . . . I do not have enough descriptive words to describe this adrenaline pumping book!! Just when you think you can relax, there is a new twist! Believe me you will not be able to keep up with all the twists and turns. Shep and London are faced with heart stopping choices and impossible situations! Do you choose love or do you choose to stay true to yourself? Be prepared to be wowed by this awesome series!
Wow! Shep and London have a wonderfully interesting story. The book is a page turner you will not want to put down. Their story gives us, in depth, detail into London's mysterious background and keeps the reader captivated throughout the danger and suspense that fills the pages. We get to meet London's parents and a Prince while also revisiting York, Moose, and the rest of the Alaska Air One Rescue team. We also learn more of Shep's background helping us to better understand his character. The building of trust after deceit seems to be a prominent theme that recurs as well as the power of forgiveness. It is my advice you read the book and be amazed.
Pilot London Brooks has built a new life for herself as part of the Alaska Air One Rescue team. But her past comes up again! There is lots of excitement and danger in this book dealing with Cryptex, Russian terrorists, viruses, foreign ambassadors and love! Shep Watson is determined to bring London safely home to Alaska but will all of the team be in danger? If you want to read about lots of danger, One Last Stand is the book for you! You won't want to miss book 4 in the Alaska Air One Rescue series by Susan May Warren! I received an advance e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.
Oh My! Susan May Warren can write suspense like no other!
At first, London is dead and Shep is in depression.
But then, no! London is alive and she is not London. But she IS London and has other identities too.
These Alaska Air One rescue stories are the bomb (literally).
Alaska is a great setting but so is a castle in Lauchtenland. This group really gets around. You add in the team members. Moose, Tilly, Oaken and Boo and then add even York and Fraser and things get real.
Great series! Highly recommend! Now I am hoping for a continuation story for Ziggy. Thank you to Net Galley for allowing me to read this book. The opinions are entirely my own.
