I've been slowly getting back into the world of webtoons and manhwas, and this story was the perfect read to rekindle my love for the genre! I had such a great time with this fantasy revenge tale set in a regency-inspired era, filled with political intrigue, power plays, and unexpectedly dark plot twists.

What would you do if one day, you woke up in the body of your sworn rival? That’s exactly what happens to Lady Medea Solon. After losing her chance at becoming Queen through marriage, She wakes up in the body of Psyche Callista and learns not everything is what it seems. Initially hellbent on becoming queen and gaining power, now she learns through the eyes of Psyche Callista that something is seriously off with the crown prince.

The body swap element was so well executed! Watching Medea and Psyche adapt to each other's lives brought out so much development in both characters. Medea, the intelligent and cunning mastermind, has her plans down to every last detail, while Psyche’s naive optimism brings a refreshing contrast. But as they navigate each other's worlds, they each start to realize the hidden strengths and vulnerabilities within themselves, revealing that they may not be as different as they thought.

What really pulled me in were the plot twists, each one was so unexpected and kept me hooked from one chapter to the next. I thoroughly enjoyed Volume 1 and can’t wait for Volume 2 to see where this goes next!

Thank you, @wattpadbooks @webtoonofficial for the finished review copy and the beautiful lace fan which I totally understand why after reading the story.

This is definitely a case of "be careful what you wish for" and "the grass is always greener". Or in the MC Villainess' case, the grass is always redder, with unexpected bloodshed...

WOW but this ended with a BANG! I normally hate cliffhanger endings, but this one was *chef's kiss*.

Basically, we have the MC Villainess who was the fiancee of the Crown Prince, her place was taken over by the MC Heroine Who Wouldn't Hurt a Fly and she schemes to take back her rightful place...only to find out that the MC Heroine was NOT in a good place and now she is in the fire in the MC Heroine's stead! Also, the MC V and MC H really ARE the V and H, with the V not afraid to get her hands dirty, which stands her in good stead at the aforementioned cliffhanger.

I don't want to say anymore for fear of spoilers, but I will say that this one has me salivating for the next volume. If the second volume is as good as this one, I may need to make room on my Keepers bookcase for this series.

5, I was very pleasantly surprised and can't wait to see how this progresses, stars!

My thanks to NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group/Unscrolled for an eARC of this book to read and review.

3 ⭐️

the webtoon deserves a 3.5 stars but the book that was produced is a 2 💔

I loved the series when I read it on webtoon. ‘Your Throne’ is centered around two strong but flawed female leads (whom are polar opposites), that grow and survive in a kingdom full of corruption. This is a historical fantasy series that is heavy on character development and court intrigue. When I received an arc on Netgallery, I was excited because who doesn’t love having a physical copy of a series they enjoy?

I wanted to know how it differed from the webtoon I’ve already experienced reading, and so I read both of them along side each other. The publisher corrected some spelling errors and replaced some words here and there but it wasn’t too noticeable. They changed the font for onomatopoeias and dialogues which I wasn’t a fan of but I understand that the text had to be bolder to accommodate for all the art thats laid out on paper. What I didn’t like was how the panels were awkwardly placed and they cropped so many of the images. I get that it is pretty hard to format a manhwa that was originally for the web into book format but still. If one of the panels needed to be cropped, it could have been done in a way that’s more appealing to the eye. If you study photography or filmography, they teach you something about ratio of a picture which could have been incorporated when rearranging the manhwa panels. But instead, most panels were oddly cropped and sometimes there’s so much negative space around the images or they would pile the panels on top of each other so there’s too much going on.

I did enjoy the artwork that can only be found in the book though. The artist revised some of the panels. I was happy to find scenes where they were just quick sketch-like panels but was replaced with a more detailed/dramatic looking scene. It was beautiful!

Overall, I love the story but not so much the execution of the book. Not a fan.

If you want the whole experience of the manhwa, support SAM by reading and giving it a like on the webtoon app. If you don’t mind the odd arrangements or parts of scenes that may not have made the cut, support SAM by buying the book.

Thank you Netgallery and Wattpad Webtoon Studios for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Was I sad that the only option available for me to read early was a black and white PDF?? Why yes, yes I was. BUT, as a resourceful human, I used my WEBTOON app to kind of simultaneously scroll while reading so I could get an idea of the colors for the characters and full-scale of the art for a better picture. It just took me much longer to read it that way since the flips back and forth were a bit time consuming.

Outside the format, the story itself was fairly enjoyable. It totally fits with the whole villain origin/villain MC vibes that have been cropping up lately. Vengeful Lady Medea somehow magically switches bodies with the sweet Psyche who has taken her place as the Crown Prince’s fiancée.

It wasn’t my favorite of the WEBTOONs that I’ve read, but it was still an enjoyable read with the unexplainable magic body switch, the intriguing side characters and a Crown Prince with his own shady agenda. The set up between polar opposite Medea and Psyche was also intriguing to see develop over the course of the story.

If you’re interested in graphic novels spinning a tale of court intrigue in a fantasy realm with some literal role reversal via magic switch between a morally gray vengeful lady and her sweeter rival, this may just be a book to checkout.

Thank you to Netgalley and WEBTOON for the early copy in exchange for an honest review.

I can’t quite put my finger on what this book reminds me of. It’s almost giving me the court intrigue of Game of Thrones, but without all the familial relations. ALMOST, but not exactly. Reign, maybe? I’ve only watched 2 episodes of it, but that COULD be it. I don’t know, but it’s on the tip of my tongue and I need to knowwwwwww.

Volume 1 of Your Throne starts us kind of smack dab in the middle of the story with no explanation as to whyyyyyyy anything is happening. Then it masterfully takes us back and forth in time to show us exactly what has brought us to the moment we thought we knew what was going on, but then we find out there is a lot more for us to learn about. Did that sentence confuse you? Yeah, me too.

Lady Medea Solon has been slighted. She was betrothed to the heir to the throne, but Prince Eros Vasilios decided he wanted to be able to choose his wife based on a Princess trial. We hear a rumor that he cheated her out of winning and then lied putting her father out of favor. His own family’s favor at that, so it was a bunch of backhanded trickery and it made him seem like a villain from early on, even though we’re meant to think Medea is the villain of the story.

The woman he chose, Psyche Callista, is as beautiful and beloved as she is sheltered. She sees the good in everyone and it will be her eventual downfall. So when she is asked to pray at the temple to their divine being, Medea sneaks in to speak to her, accidentally knocking them both into the water while she prays to become the Princess… but it doesn’t happen as planned and they Freaky Friday, the two of them have switched bodies.

I loved that with the characters switching it puts the villainous woman into the demure sweet woman’s body and visa versa. So the entire story is going to be how they adapt and grow as the other person. They’ll be literally walking a mile in the other’s shoes… and hopefully saving each other from horrible fates.

I’m excited for the next volume and may need to continue on WEBTOONS, since it left off on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait 6 months to a year for the next printed graphic novel to know how the action ends. 😂

Thank you to WEBTOON and WattPad for gifting me a copy of the book. Happy Release Day, because this baby is out now!!!!!

Special thanks to the author(s), publisher, Goodreads and/or NetGalley for the review copy. All views and opinions expressed are honest and my own.

A story of royalty, betrayals, death and drama.

The story begins at a turning point. At Crown Prince Eros’ engagement to Lady Psyche, Last Medea finds herself being ridiculed after having lost her rightful place next to the Crown Prince. Overcome by anger, Lady Medea begins to act out her revenge only to switch places with Lady Psyche. Now as the Crown Princess in a body not hers, she unravels darker truths and plots.

The plot is interesting, almost like a game of chess. At first, it was confusing because there is no context behind each character’s action and reaction. However as the story unfolds, so does the past and the truths. Things change without notice and pawns are relieved without grief as needed. This story isn’t for the faint of heart because bloodshed, cold ruthless demeanor and madness are close relatives of this story.

It’s hard to say much about the characters but there is also so much I want to say. There are currently four main characters that are the focal point of this story; Lady Medea, Lady Psyche, Crown Prince Eros’ and Marquess Helio. Neither of them have a good personality because they are each twisted in their own way. Their pasts have been very unkind, riddled with abuse, abandonment, loneliness, and despair. These events and emotions have most likely molded our characters. However, I feel like the switch between Lady Medea and Lady Psyche will benefit them both and allow them to grow where they are lacking.

The artwork is beautiful. It stays on theme more often than not, representing bright colors for Lady Psyche in warm backgrounds, whereas using dark colors in cold backgrounds for Lady Medea. This volume is very colorful and doesn’t shy away from using different tones. The only issue with this volume is the panel placements. I felt the placement was odd and lacking for smaller panels, sometimes leaving more than half a page blank. Other times, the panels spread across the full page but ruined the suspense of the scene.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this but I also felt overwhelmed. There was so much happening in the first volume, that I wondered if maybe the execution of the story could have been done better. There is a lot of mystery in this story, given we haven’t been given many background details and I feel like it will not be unraveled anytime soon. In the end I can only say, do not judge any character too quickly while reading this series.

Revenge and evil-queen-vibes sink into an unexpected game, where everyone plays their own strategy while unknowingly taking the role of someone else's pawn.

Medea should have been queen but lost her place when the prince chose the other girl instead. Now, she's out for revenge, but before she can take it, the craziest thing happens, and she wakes up to find herself in her rival's body. While she quickly regains her footing and has all intentions to continue with her initial goal, her new and different perspective of the situation reveals a much more complicated scheme. What started as a simple plan to destroy one person has warped into a battle to save the entire kingdom.

I went into this hoping for a darker, cliche story, which would offer a bit of fun...my expectations weren't high. But this gives quite a bit more and promises to lead into an exciting series of intrigue and many hidden agendas. The beginning shows Medea in a terrible light as a vengeful young woman, who embodies the villain. It made her very hard to like or connect with, especially when juxtaposed with the angelic rival. During the first pages, I did wonder if I'd made a bad grab. Also, not much time is spent sinking into the situation or world, leaving a bit of confusion especially since Medea's hate seems very unfounded. But this ill-balanced beginning does end up setting off the tale better than first appears.

While this starts with an overly cliche atmosphere, the twists and turns flip everything on its head to create an original and grabbing read. There is a lot of room for character growth, and even in this first volume, that arc comes across well. To say that there's quite a bit going on is an understatement, and that guarantees quick pacing throughout. With all of the webbed intentions, this could quickly grow confusing but flashbacks root the background and keep things from flying out of control. Normally, I'm not a huge fan of such back-and-forth, but it works well because the reader gets hit with a truckload of information in this first volume. While it seems to border on confusing at times, it manages not to go too far, but instead, sets the base for so much more to come during the upcoming volumes.

The art style fits the story. The color tones match the atmosphere and subtly portray each 'queen' in a way, which supports how the reader is supposed to see them at that moment. The visual changes match the plot and balance well with the text.

I am looking forward to the next volume, especially since this beginning has laid such an intricate base. There are more than a few questions as to the intent and goals of several characters, and it will be exciting to see where this all might lead.
I received a DRC, am giving 4.5 stars and rounding up.

I had originally marked this as one I wouldn't give feedback for because the download did not work and wouldn't open on any device or application that I tried. However, since it is an original from Webtoon I was able to read it there and am happy to review the content since I found myself really enjoying the story and getting sucked in. I ended up scrolling well past the 12 episodes collected in this volume because I just kept having to know what would happen next. I think that many people who read this volume will find themselves feeling the same way -- that they need to know what's in store next for Medea and Psyche. The art is colorful and well suited to each scene, whether focusing on the darker aspects in a violent scene or highlighting the color and the beauty of the characters for a happier scene. The flashbacks or memories are clear that they are not happening in the present and the story is easy to follow. The main characters have a lot of growth and I found myself rooting for both Medea and Psyche even though that's kind of conflicting but I do like Medea better. I also love Heli! He's probably my favorite character and I really hope he ends up with Medea even though any potential romance between them is certainly not the focus of this story.

There is no real good or bad side when it comes to Medea and Psyche, everyone is just playing their own game and I love the chess metaphors in the story because just when you think someone is a pawn it turns out they are not. There are some twists and surprises and you'll find yourself not expecting what's coming next. Medea and Psyche are presented as enemies but it wasn't always that way which definitely makes the story better and had me more invested in both characters. I like that it starts off with us assuming who is good vs who is bad but then you learn that really everyone is much more complex than that. Medea is a very strong main character and that's always a factor for whether or not I'll be invested in the character's journey. Psyche is portrayed as her complete opposite and very weak but I like that she wants to be stronger. I also love a good swapped bodies story. It gives just the right amount of anxiety of what will the other learn while basically undercover in their body. Plus I love seeing when someone knows that there's something wrong and they aren't really who they appear to be. I'll definitely be continuing with this story and I hope that when the next volume is posted the download will be fixed and I'll be able to actually open it on here!

Your Throne, Vol. 1 by Sam is a historical fantasy manga where court politics has a Freaky Friday.

This volume contains the first twelve (12) episodes of the Your Throne Webtoon comic that follows two polar opposite women attempting to survive in a heavily patriarchal culture that pits them against each other every step of the way. And did I mention that there's a wish on an annual special day of prayer and oops these two women swap bodies?

The beginning was slightly confusing for me, but once I got about midway into this volume I couldn't stop reading. By the end of the twelfth episode, there were several zigs and zags that really had me intrigued. Upon finishing, I immediately went to my Webtoon app to subscribe. It was a really fun read!

There are several interstitial flashbacks that shine a new light on our two main characters. I'm excited to read more in this story to watch the characters keep growing. The art style really fits the theme and content, and I really love the artist's color palatte.

I'd highly recommend you pick this up if you like fast-paced political fantasy with tons of surprises. Especially if you like chess metaphors.

CW: violence, death, poison, kidnapping

Two rivals switch bodies, and Medea's revenge will make or break her fate.

In the Vasilos Empire, not everything is as it seems. The Crown Prince decided to marry Psyche Callista instead of Medea Solon, who was originally supposed to marry him. This angered Medea, and she vowed to seek revenge. On the day of the Yearly Prayer, Medea defied the rules and showed up at the temple, where she had a brief altercation with Psyche. During the encounter, a divine power caused Medea and Psyche to switch bodies as a result of Medea's prayer. Now that Medea has what Psyche had, what will she do? Was this an unexpected turn of events, or was it a stroke of misfortune?

The book I'm referring to is a captivating webtoon that I first read when I was younger. Rediscovering it recently was a delightful experience as the story is incredibly well-written and utterly fascinating, as I remember. I'm eagerly anticipating the sequel to find out what happens next.

Psyche strikes me as a rather unremarkable character, lacking a vibrant personality. I hope to see her undergo more significant character development in the upcoming installment. On the other hand, the Prince, also known as Eros, exudes a subtle air of malevolence, leaving me with the sense that he is constantly scheming. Medea, with her cunning and captivating persona, undergoes an intriguing character evolution throughout the story.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a narrative filled with unexpected turns and gripping suspense that will keep them on the edge of their seats.

Happy Reading and Happy Pub Day, Paige ❤️ 📚

Lady Medea Solon was supposed to marry the Crown Prince Eros, who decides to marry Psyche Callista instead. Medea finds her plans upended when she switches bodies with her rival Callista.

This historical fantasy is loaded with court intrigue, covering betrayal, royalty, revenge, power and religion. It's appealing to follow polar opposites female characters, the vengeful Medea and the sweet Callista, how the past molded them however now having the possibility to overturn their fate. Sam crafts flawed characters, whose development and (dark) motives become the driving force of the book. I delighted in the female rage and was invested in the mystery behind the characters.

The plot feels like a game of chess, inviting one to play mind games alongside the characters. The change of POVs and the narrative going back and forth can be hard to follow at times. While the different panel arrangements provide singularity, it can, at the same time, challenge readers.

With atmospheric vibes reigning the beautiful artwork, if you're looking for morally gray characters in a tale brimming with court drama and a touch of magic, read this Korean webtoon. I am curious for the future installments.

"Your Throne" volume 1 follows a powerful young noblewoman Medea, who is intent on enacting her revenge on Psyche, a woman who somehow replaced her as the princess who will marry the crown prince. During a ceremony, their bodies get switched and Medea learns that the crown prince isn't who she thought he was and is hiding something, while kind, sweet Psyche has to figure out how to act as the ruthless Medea until their bodies switch back.

I thought this was great! The style of art reminds me of mangas such as "Cardcaptor Sakura" but fully in color. I though it was done incredibly well and was really appealing to the reader, and for the most part I was able to tell what was going on due to the details in the character's facial expressions and the scenery.

I enjoyed this novel enough that I would definitely keep reading on webtoon and would pick up future installments. You would enjoy this if you enjoy fantasy manga, bodyswap and betrayal tropes. This would be perfect for readers who are teen-adult.

Title: Your Throne Volume One By Sam

Release Date: October ,1st, 2024

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars

In "Your Throne Vol. 1," tensions simmer beneath the serene facade of the Vasilios Empire, governed by the Imperial Family and the Temple. Lady Medea Solon, determined to reclaim her position beside Crown Prince Eros, finds her plans upended when she unexpectedly wakes up in the body of her rival. Now, she must adapt and revise her revenge strategy to navigate this unexpected twist of fate.

The narrative uniquely explores the intertwined lives of Medea and Psyche as they grapple with their sudden switch. Unlike typical webtoon themes of rebirth or transmigration, this story stands out by focusing on both characters' perspectives, offering a fresh take on the genre.

The art style is exceptional, with vibrant colors and eye-catching character designs that captivated me throughout. The pacing of the story is fast-paced, kept me engaged and eager to turn the pages.

Lady Medea and Lady Psyche switch bodies, but they are essentially the polar opposite of each other. While that doesn’t really affect one, has the other struggling. Lady Medea is a genius, calculating, and a master swordsman. Lady Psyche on the other hand doesn’t seem to be able to read all that well, and is physically weak. She is what she puts out, nothing about her seems fake. While Lady Medea is 10 steps ahead of everyone, I am not and need the next part soon. No one is what they seem, I thought it would be good vs evil where you could easily tell who is who, but that wasn’t what happened. The villain turned out to be who you didn’t even think about, (they were too stereotypical) I didn’t even give them a second thought. I want to see more of Medea’s backstory as well as Psyche, it seems like we know almost nothing about her until she debuted into society. I enjoyed this a lot and can’t wait for the next part to come out. Thank you NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for giving me this book in exchange for an honest review.

I would like to thank the Publisher for approving me for this ARC, via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review.

What would you do if all your plans for revenge were suddenly ruined? What would you do if those plans were ruined because you woke up in the body of your sworn rival? This manga is the story of Lady Medea Solon, who should have been the next Empress. She was born into a wealthy, important family and was raised to take what’s rightfully hers. When the Crown Prince Eros puts her aside for Psyche Castella, things get interesting.

I absolutely love the richness in the artwork. It is stunning, well laid out, and fits perfectly with the story. There are so many times when the writing is just perfectly timed to deliver an emotional blow. This is just the beginning of their story, and it gets better. I cannot wait for more of the story to be published in physical form!

*Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for providing an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review*

The setup here is pretty straightforward, in a contest to see who will become the crown princess, Madea has lost to Psyche, and now seeks revenge to regain her place. Madea is shown as a typical manwha villainess, but then the plot switches things up when Madea and Psyche end up switching bodies. Now living each other's lives, the story follows both Madea and Psyche as they try to make sense of the switch. I felt like this makes the plot stand out a bit from the typical webtoon trend of rebirth/transmigration, and particularly like that the focus is on both characters, not just one, or that there was a reveal that Psyche was the real villain all along, as does tend to happen. The art was good, I really liked the color scheme. I do feel like a lot of info was dumped on to the readers at once, making it a lot to take in, but i'm interested in seeing how the plot develops.

This was a very interesting read, but also confusing! I needed more introduction. This is the first volume and I was quite confused at the beginning with what was going on. I didn't understand the motive of Medea, and the introduction to all the characters was a bit overwhelming. I am not sure where the story will go from here.

ALOT happened in this one volume, definitely " you do not want to see the lady scorned" vibes.

It is hard to like the main character she is quite dislikable, actually both characters are quite dislikable, but thankfully I think that may be the point--maybe neither of them end up with the male lead?

Overall, I think it was a solid start and it will be interesting to see how to progresses. My only gripe was wanting more world building to understand the context of Medea and her relationships, like why is she so crazy right away? What happened to her? Maybe this will be explored later on.

When I saw this graphic novel pop up I was very interested and the synopsis sounded good plus that cover is gorgeous. Unfortunately it just didn’t do it for me. The artwork was well done, but sometimes the format of them was weird or cut things in half. I enjoyed the story but I feel like it was choppy. We were just dropped into the story with no background. Later on we received a bit of background, but maybe this was done to get readers to come back for volume 2. Speaking of what was that ending lol I hate cliffhangers and I literally stopped in the middle of something. I did enjoy both Medea and Psyche and their total oppositeness. But the guys I had a hard time telling them apart, were there three guys or two I couldn’t tell.
I would consider reading volume 2.

I started reading this a while back as a WEBTOON and I’m so excited to see it being published as a physical book!

This graphic novel is a definite be careful what you wish for story. Lady Medea and Lady Psyche are two very different women. Both in love with the Prince, both with different personalities and motivations. They switch bodies after Medea infiltrates a sacred prayer ceremony that only Psyche is supposed to attend. What follows is elation for the former Medea and despair for the former Psyche.

The actual plot once you get into the switcheroo is wiiiild! So many twists and turns and people being completely different from who you thought they were. It’s interesting and gripping and was a lot of fun to read.

Definitely would recommend! Thanks so much to netgalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest review!

SPOILERS TO FOLLOW

I'm surprised I haven't actually heard of this webtoon. Usually I'm really tuned into that site but I guess not! Especially since I looked it up and it's been going on for a while. I almost didn't want to keep reading this because I don't like it when the two main women of the story are fighting each other but it was quickly revealed that the main villain of the story is not either Psyche or Medea but Eros, the crown Prince. I'm excited to read more (I'll probably do so on a different site) and I really want Helio to end up with Medea in the end. They seem like they have a really good relationship. If not that, I want Medea to usurp the throne and rule with Helio, and Psyche (make it a whole polamourous love story since I think the three of them work well together.)

This WEBTOON for volume one of Your Throne was amazing. I love the story line and the art style. I like that Lady Psyche is not as she seems. There a bigger story there. I like that she strong without realizing it. Lady Medea is a strong woman. But she got Lady Psyche all wrong. I like that she fights for what she wants. But it comes with big consequences that will be revealed right away. She also a very cunning, manipulative woman. That way people don’t like her. Throughout the story you’ll see the past of both of them. Really want to know more about both of them. Also get to meet Lady Medea loyal knight that would do anything for her. Also realize no one there for Lady Psyche. The crown prince makes you want to know more about him and hit him. Why is he doing what he did at the end of the volume. I can’t wait to see what the next volume holds of the Lady’s.

“The pawn earns its freedom when it gets past enemy lines. It can become a bishop, a knight, a rook, or even a queen. That you are a pawn means you can become anything you desire.”

With its vibrant art and character designs, as well as fast pacing, volume one of Your Throne is a treat to read. Add in an unhinged, murderous protagonist, a not-so-princely prince with mysterious motives, and a rival whose perfect sweet temper rings a little too false and my attention to this story is rapt.

I’m so looking forward to continuing with the series and seeing how Madea, Eros, and Psyche continue to manipulate those around them. Thanks so much to Netgalley and WEBTOON book group for providing me with a digital ARC. Your Throne Volume One is released 10/1!

Omg, this was SO good!
The characters aren't black and white characters where one is good and one is bad. The "villain" is more complex than meets the eye and there may be more to the meak girl too.
I couldn't stop reading as Lady Madea plotted and schemed, as she discovered a plot and wow, all the TWISTS 😍
Absolutely loved this and now want to go read the rest! I'll borrow my sister's phone, she already has Webtoon downloaded 🤭
Lady Madea was such a badass, and I couldn't help rooting for her even when she seemed cruel. I think she'll become friends with Lady Psyche. And I'm hoping there's something between her and a certain silver haired friend 🥰 hehe
I need more! 🤩 So so good! HIGHLY recommend!

Your Throne Volume One by SAM was a bit of a confusing read. We follow the POV of the “villainess” in a political fantasy world where she thinks another girl stole the prince’s engagement from her. She vows to get her throne back at any cost…and that somehow leads to her and the other girl switching bodies, and maybe even understanding things a little more. I think I liked it, I was just kind of unsure who I was supposed to be rooting for as nobody seems particularly likable at first. As the volume progressed however, more and more secrets started unraveling and it definitely peaked my curiosity for what this story was turning into. Still not totally sure of my feelings, but overall, it was an interesting and different experience.

Your Throne has a great art style, the colours are vibrant and the character designs are pretty + eye catching. It's fast paced & the body swap with the villainess and the heroine is well done as it's only after Medea has already got rid of many of her rival's allies putting herself at a disadvantage. The scheming of Lady Medea was brilliant and our introduction to her as we learn of the consequences of moving against her was a perfect start to learning about her. She's an awesome main character! The twists in volume 1 were great as we learn there's lots that she doesn't know about Eros' schemes and sets up future volumes well as you'll be dying to know what happens next!

Thank you to netgalley for this arc

Okay so when I first read the first chapter on webtoon this story didn't seem it was up my alley. Especially since Medea seems like such a hard person to root for.
It turns out the body swap between Madea and Psyche was a way for them to get to know each other and also solve each others problems. I can't wait to have more volumes out! The story for this is a lot different then other webtoons in this genre and I can't wait to see how it plays out.

This is for people who are interested in a retelling of Medea and Psyche and also for people like me who are obsessed with webtoons that have some type of body switch at play.

Your Throne is a standard fantasy/regency manga. Two FL's are vying for the attention of the crown prince, one presented as evil & scheming, the other as naive & delicate. There's a body swap & more scheming that ensues. This first volume contains episodes 1-12 (that can be read for free on the Webtoon app) and so far it's entertaining. It was a bit confusing at the beginning, but things start to make sense about 3 episodes in. There's some mild romantic vibes between the real Lady Madea & her guard, but the focus is on the intentions of all three leads, so don't go in expecting sweeping romance. If you're into court politics and scheming women, you'll like this one.

💭My thoughts: This was a a great manga full of angst and drama. The blurb hooked me in instantly! Imagine switching bodies with your rival 🤯 It does end on a cliffhanger but it leaves you wanting more. I really like Medea’s black cat personality. She’s so strong and not only mentally but physically, being familiar with swords and self defense. I need to know more and specifically why the crown prince did what he did! I look forward to continuing this series and recommend this to anyone who enjoys beautiful artwork in manga, drama, switching bodies with rival, and tons of action and revenge.

Revenge is best served cold is a famous saying. But what happens when a plan for revenge goes awry as is the case here. Lady Medea Solon has lost her place next to the Imperial Prince to Lady Psyche Callista. So she is plotting revenge, but when she confronts Psyche during a ceremony, they two end up switching bodies. Now the two have to learn to act as the other and survive the Imperial Prince who is no Prince Charming! Great artwork and this volume lays the groundwork for an interesting story line. Will need to read the next volume to see how the heroines survive the predicament they are in!

Thanks Netgalley and Wattpad Webtoon for the chance to read this volume!
