Amazing stuff. Basically, unless you're a brain surgeon, driving is the most mentally complex thing you will ever do. And of course most of the issues that make traffic so insane are psychological. We're just not designed to go that fast. Also, lots of little nuggets of wisdom to save for future conversations. I hope our governor and state/local transportation folks read this book!...more

Would be worth rereading to try out more of the exercises (acupressure?) and get more improvements in technique. What I did gather out of it is that I need to raise my seat a bit, that my preference for an upright position is okay, to exert force through the whole pedal stroke, and to turn my chin towards where I want to turn. (I have Zoolander's disease: problems turning.)...more

However: I did get some useful tips on turning better (like Zoolander, I have a hard time turning left), climbing hills, and pedaling more effectively. I'm getting some nice speed bursts now with not that much more effort....more
